• Best Orator in BSc III, Plant Biology & Biotechnology, Loyola College, Chennai.
• Best Painter, Ovations Cultural Festival, Loyola College, Chennai, 2002.
• Secretary, Forum for Intellectual Advancement, Loyola College, Chennai
• Editor, Bio Flash Magazine, Department of Plant Biology & Biotechnology, Loyola College.
• Awarded 2 Gold Medals for topping Media Studies and being Best Student at International School of Business & Media (ISBM), Pune, 2005-07.

Vinayak was always pursuing and achieving something or the other. His biggest passions were airplanes and guns.. and he did courses in aero-modeling and air rifle shooting. His interests were many…..and led him to become a member of the Video & Photography Cell at ISBM, participate in the Discovery Channel Debate, give speeches on World Anti-Drug Day etc.etc...

When he went, he was reading autobiographies and thinking of entering politics...
